Every year, thousands of sea creatures die due to plastic pollution.
Saying ‘no thank you’ to plastic straws, bags and bottles. Say ‘hello’ to reusable alternatives
If you see a nesting turtle or hatchlings on the beach be sure to follow our responsible guidelines. Contact us if you see a confused hatchling going the wrong way.

DON’T USE BRIGHT LIGHTS ON NESTING BEACHES

DON’T INSTALL BARRIERS ON NESTING BEACHES

DON’T DRIVE VEHICLES ON NESTING BEACHES
Hatchlings orientate themselves towards the brightest horizon. Artificial lights confuse them and reduce survival rates.
Fences, sun umbrellas, and beach furniture can damage existing nests and make it more challenging for turtles to find a suitable spot to lay their eggs.
It is now illegal to drive a vehicle across a marked nesting area in Turkey.

DON’T LIGHT FIRES ON NESTING BEACHES

DON’T GO FISHING AT NIGHT ON NESTING BEACHES

CHOOSE ECO-FRIENDLY HOTELS & TOURISM OPERATORS
If you accidentally light a fire on top of a turtle nest the eggs will cook!
Fıshıng lines, hooks, and nets can cause serious injuries to sea turtles.
Ask questions before booking holidays and support operators who minimize their impact on the environment.

ONLY EAT SUSTAINABLE SEAFOOD
Support small-scale fisheries that are not responsible for sea turtle mortality.
